Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring ACLS, NIHSS, and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 3 newly renovated labs
• High-volume, high-acuity unit handling 12–18 cases per day (4–7 cases per lab) including STEMI call
• Procedures include TAVRs, Watchman, CardiomEMS, carotid interventions, Impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVARs/EVARs, and STEMI
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Equipment includes Philips imaging systems (recently upgraded), Medrad and manifold for injections
• Charting systems: XPER and Epic
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (8:00–18:30), alternating Monday–Friday
• Rotating on-call required for weekends, holidays, after-hours, and when the department is closed
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including medical assignments and ED (medical holds)
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care nursing experience required
• Experience in cardiac cath lab and/or interventional radiology (IR) preferred

• Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring during cath lab procedures
• Team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a collaborative and hardworking staff
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO requests are accommodated at manager's discretion
• Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
