Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for a variety of medical surgical patients across a 15-bed unit with a 4–5:1 patient ratio
• Administer and monitor heparin drips and other medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Utilize remote telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Float across multiple campuses as required to support patient care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support unit growth and deliver high-quality community-focused care
• Participate in charge and/or preceptor duties as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact / Multistate RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 24 months of experience in Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical Telemetry nursing
• Proficiency caring for all types of medical surgical patients
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Experience with heparin administration and monitoring
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC (required); must have completed at least one prior travel nursing contract within the previous 18 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring background
• Recent charge nurse experience
• Recent preceptor experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months
