Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures and minimally invasive treatments
• Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile instruments, and imaging equipment
• Position and monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Administer contrast media in accordance with facility protocols and monitor for reactions
• Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety guidelines
• Accurately document procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Active ARRT certification required
• State licensure in Kansas if applicable
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 12 years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience preferred
• Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
