Responsibilities include: Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and other respiratory therapy equipment. Administer therapeutic gases, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments according to physician orders. Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological responses to respiratory therapy. Assist patients with breathing exercises and prescribed respiratory techniques. Monitor and adjust respiratory equipment to achieve optimal treatment outcomes. Identify and report adverse reactions or significant changes in patient condition. Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff regarding respiratory care needs. Maintain accurate respiratory therapy documentation and patient records. Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment for proper and safe operation. Coordinate equipment repairs when necessary. Educate and demonstrate respiratory care procedures to healthcare personnel and trainees as appropriate. Respiratory Therapist Qualifications Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program . Respiratory therapy experience and/or related clinical training preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
