About the Position

Job Title: Nursing Administration Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 hours Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of acute care experience required. License: Required licenses and certifications include BLS and ACLS. Certifications: BLS, ACLS. Must-Have: Critical care experience, trauma experience preferred, EPIC experience required. Description: About the Facility: Level I Trauma Center. Magnet Designated. Comprehensive Stroke Center. 794 beds. Unit Information: 28 beds with 2 hybrid rooms for CV/Vascular. Approximately 60-75 cases per day. Accepts first-time travelers. Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Outpatient and inpatient cases including trauma. Common cases include GSW, stabbings, transplant (kidney, heart), donor cases, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, orthopedics, neuro, and open heart/CABG. Hybrid room sees between 5-10 cases per day and includes adults only. Hybrid procedures include TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, fistula revisions, and 20% pediatric cases (open hearts, appendectomy, cholecystectomy). No liver or lung transplants performed. Required Skills: For OR RN: Ability to scrub and circulate with a preferred background in critical care and trauma experience at a Level 1-2. For CVOR RN: Ability to scrub and circulate adult or pediatric open-heart cases with critical care experience and Level 1 trauma experience. For Surgical Technologists: Ability to scrub required cases. For Hybrid IR Tech: Experience in hybrid patient types and familiarity with Siemens equipment required. Support within the Department: Charge nurse with no patient assignment. Bedside monitoring by anesthesiologists. Resource nurses and educators available. Service line representatives and EPIC super-users present. Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC. IV Pump: Alaris. Medication dispensing: Pyxis. Scheduling: Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend. Shifts may include 0645-1515, 1445-1915, and 2245-0715. 3x 12-hour or 5x 8-hour shifts available. 6-week scheduling with rotations based on needs. OR operates 24/7, with adjustments for weekends and holidays. On-call requirements depend on shifts/service lines, with a 30-minute response time. Sleeping accommodations available for on-call team members. Other notes: Scrub color specified. Free parking available.
