Shift / Schedule: Evening (5x8 Hours), 14:0022:00

Job Summary

This is a travel/contract LVN/LPN position in the Rehabilitation specialty at a facility in Newark, NY. The unit is a 41-bed short-term rehab unit that specializes in wound care, wound vacs, IVs, PICC lines, and nephrostomy care. Patient diagnoses include S/P orthopedic and cardiac procedures, wounds, HTN, CHF, and renal failure. First-time travelers are accepted for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a 41-bed short-term rehab unit specializing in wound care, wound vacs, IVs, PICC lines, and nephrostomy care
• Care for patients with diagnoses including S/P orthopedic and cardiac procedures, wounds, HTN, CHF, and renal failure
• Float per facility need
• Provide weekend coverage every other weekend (EOW)
• Operate special equipment including wound vacs
• Maintain patient ratios: Days 1:8, Nights 1:20, Weekends 1:10

Required Skills

• EPIC proficiency required
• Patient ratio experience required: 1:10
• BLS required

Education Requirements

• LPN License required
• NY State LPN/LVN licensure required (NY is not a Compact state)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• On-site position at a rehabilitation facility in Newark, NY
• Evening shift: 14:0022:00 (5x8 hours)
• Float required per facility need
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Local candidates not accepted must reside more than 75 miles from facility
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
