Description: PCU RN Ratios: 1:5 Years of experience REQ: 1 to 2 Years Experience Required. First-timers accepted: Yes Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit. Weekend REQ: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Lukes 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? YES - FLOAT POOL POSITION WILL NOT be assigned a home unit. Will float between (roughly) 5 units all Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU Departments and floating to other Metro campuses as needed.

Certs REQ: BLS, NIHSS Certs Preferred: ACLS Skills REQ: Work Settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring. Cardiovascular: Pre/Post Cardiac Cath. Sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, Renal Failure, AFIB, GIB, Stroke, COVID.

Skills Preferred: Cardiovascular: Sheath Removal. Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management.

Booking Rules: BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractors discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity. Compliance: Compliance Deadline: Docs will be due 2 Fridays before the start date. There are also 10-15 hours of modules to be done as part of compliance, which are due Monday 1 week prior to start. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing Modules: Pre-start modules are non-billable, 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules All other modules are completed during orientation, modules hours are factored in orientation hours and not billed separately Please complete your EPIC training module first! RNs will have the choice to complete the EPIC test out option OR the EPIC module. This will be entirely up to you and something you can let our EPIC training team know when you receive the email from the SLHS EPIC Trainers. Infusion Pump training and Glucometer training must be completed by the Sunday prior to the start date.
