Job Description:

- As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will work under the guidance of skilled supervisors to provide exceptional care and support.
- Engage in exciting responsibilities such as:
- Administering respiratory therapy under medical direction, focusing on education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients.
- Assisting with intubation and managing ventilator setup to ensure optimal respiratory support.
- Collecting relevant information to assess patient needs and collaborating with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- Building rapport and fostering mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members, creating an environment focused on achieving patient goals.
- Providing vital education to patients and caregivers in an understandable manner based on identified needs.
- Adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior that promote excellence in healthcare.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:


- Skills & Experience:
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong accountability for improving the lives of patients and caregivers.
- Exceptional teamwork and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-focused care.
- 1+ year of recent experience as a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- 1+ years of ICU experience and ventilator management experience required.
- Willingness to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floors.

- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.

- Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS - AHA.
- ACLS.
- PALS.
- Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license.
- Current and valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.

Schedule:
- Shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, 3X12.
- Active NJ license required.
- Every other weekend and holidays may be necessary.
- 13-week contract.
