Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Springfield, Illinois, at an acute care hospital. This role involves providing specialized care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures such as adult diagnostic catheterizations, left heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and right heart catheterizations. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day. The position offers flexible shifts of 12 hours, either 3x12 or 4x12 days, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Candidates must have prior cath lab experience and relevant certifications.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4x12 or 3x12 Days (06/29/2026), minimum 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license, ACLS and BLS certifications, minimum 1 year of cath lab experience, proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system, ability to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations including adult diagnostic catheterizations, left heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and right heart catheterizations, and experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and monitoring procedural sedation.
• On-call Requirement: Yes, as needed
• Float: Will float if needed within scope to meet facility needs
• Additional Information: Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Compliance requirements include completing lab appointments, Docusign documentation, and badge photo within one week of signing the contract. Pre-start modules are non-billable hours, and the first day will be a virtual at-home day with modules to complete on time.
