Accountant

Accountant Join the Animal Nutrition accounting team as a Cost Accountant and take ownership of cost accounting activities across a diverse network of operational locations and partners. This role is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Arden Hills, MN (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office each week). What You'll Do Work with key partners on product cost set‑up, work order completions, sales and receiving corrections, freight issues, and cycle count reconciliation. Evaluate, analyze, and resolve product costing to provide accurate reporting. Update standard costing to new calculated weighted average cost based on weekly activity, reviewing and analyzing costing variances. Evaluate and correct general ledger activity and balances to ensure accurate gross margin reporting. Analyze and explain COGS variances month over month. Execute month‑end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required). 1‑2 years’ experience in accounting, ideally cost accounting highly desired. Proficient with ERP accounting applications (JDE or SAP preferred) and Microsoft products; advanced Excel required.
