Job Overview:

Generator Supercenter of the Mainline is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Generator Technician with a strong background in 50KW - 2MW Large Commercial generator repair and maintenance. The work is flexible and is on your time. Can be easily combined with existing work. The Generator Technician will focus on the service and repair of Generac, Cummins, Kohler, Caterpillar and other types of generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Smart Management Modules (SMM), and related generator and mechanical components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Generator Service & Repair:

• Leverage your experience in service, repair, and maintenance of Generators (home generators, liquid cooled commercial, diesel, etc.)

• Specialize in engine repair and replacement, control panel replacements and other major repairs.

• Perform generator maintenance tasks on large generators including oil changes, filter replacements, and detailed generator inspections.

2. Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all safety standards for handling and servicing generator equipment.

• Ensure all mechanical and control panel servicing adheres to company and industry guidelines.

3. Collaboration & Customer Service:

• Partner with sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction, just as you would ensure a client’s car or truck is operating smoothly after repair.

• Work with other team members to solve customer problems cost effectively and in a timely manner.

• Clearly explain to customers the work performed.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Keep detailed records of parts used, time spent, and service performed.

• Provide feedback to the Service Delivery Manager on equipment status and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as senior generator technician, with a focus on mechanical diagnostics and repair.

• Valid driver’s license, driving record, and access to your personal vehicle. We will pay for mileage to to customer sites for repairs and service.

• Willigness and ability to complete Generac, Kohler and Cummins advanced technician certifications within initial 6 months of joining.
