2026 Salary Range: $40,736.00 - $97,087.00/Year (includes locality)

The primary purpose is to serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS), by executing an aggressive world-class quality assurance program that includes autonomous surveillance and evaluations of all products, core processes, and maintenance personnel. These activities are to provide group managers the visibility to assess and improve the proficiency of the work force, facilitate continuous process improvement, and provide the customer with high-quality products on time and at the promised cost.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of basic quality assurance/control methods, principles, and practices.

2. Knowledge of product characteristics and applicable production, maintenance, or repair methods and processes.

3. Working knowledge of Quality Assurance Specialist procedures for tracking and monitoring performance indicators and quality data.

4. Knowledge of inspection, audit, sampling, and measurement techniques.

5. Knowledge of current production programs and related processes.

6. Working knowledge of pertinent DoD, AF, AFMC, and OSHA regulations, policies, and procedures.

7. Knowledge of organizational goals, work processes, and administrative operations related to assigned responsibilities.

8. Skill in interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations, policy statements, and guideline materials.

9. Basic analytical ability to identify problems, gather relevant information, and assist in developing practical solutions.

10. Knowledge of standard safety and health practices and established policies and procedures.

11. Knowledge of established quality principles and objectives.

12. Skill in written and oral communication.

13. Skill in establishing effective interpersonal relationships.
