Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Echo Park Animal Hospital. The role involves working closely with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, as well as the Hospital Manager and Regional Director. Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery. Maintaining accurate medical records. Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols. Promoting teamwork and staff efficiency. Collaborating with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations. Evaluating and monitoring protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge. Monitoring cases and attending daily rounds to uphold high standards. Participating in practice management updates and training at all levels. Performing other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university. Current state veterinary license. DEA registration maintained. 3+ years of experience in a veterinary practice. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent surgical and dental skills. Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with medical and hospital staff. Client communication skills to elicit information, establish rapport, and offer explanations to pet owners. Confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain. Capacity for routine climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Demonstrated clinical knowledge in examining and assessing animals across cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations. Problem‑solving skills for challenges related to managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital. Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and internal staff. Professionalism, including providing and receiving constructive feedback. Business acumen for understanding veterinary practice management and finances. Ethical understanding guiding patient care decisions. Commitment to continuing education and facilitating learning for others. Pay Range

$160,000 — $180,000 USD.
