Registered Nurse - Cardiac/Respiratory Focus Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12‑hour shifts: 7 p‑midnight 7:30 a with weekend and holiday requirements as scheduled. Every other weekend is required, and the holiday rotation schedule will include permanent staff. Job Description As a Registered Nurse in our cardiac and respiratory unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on their individual needs, particularly focusing on cardiac patients, respiratory failure, and post‑operative lung surgeries. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to 5 patients per nurse on the night shift with a focus on cardiac and respiratory health. Titrate IV drips and manage medications as necessary. Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Philips monitors. Collaborate with respiratory therapists to manage CPAP and BiPap as applicable. Participate in patient education and advocacy for improved health outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Current certifications in BLS & ACLS are mandatory. Experience in titrating drips and managing acute cardiac and respiratory patients.
