Join a team with a long-standing reputation and opportunities to grow your career.Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Diesel Mechanic Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 25.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 05:30pm)Perform routine maintenance and repair on automotive & diesel vehiclesDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issuesConduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasksRepair or replace faulty parts and componentsUse diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problemsPerform intermediate level maintenance and repair, including major and minor component replacements on vehicle A/C, ignition, electrical, heating, cooling, drive train and axles.Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performedMust have clean MVR, Drug Test, pass DOT physical.Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:Previous experience as a Diesel service technician or similar roleStrong knowledge of diesel and vehicle systemsProficient in using diagnostic tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailPlease note that this position may require heavy lifting, tire service, soldering, welding, and providing customer service.Applicant may be subject to a background checkApplicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle ReportPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employmentA conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
