Additional Responsibilities: As a Linux/CommVault Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive system management and data protection. You will install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established standards. A critical aspect of your role will be implementing and managing backup and restore operations for both physical and virtual servers using CommVault, thereby guaranteeing data integrity and availability. You will also provide first-line technical assistance for Linux and CommVault-related issues, efficiently diagnosing problems and implementing timely solutions. Automation is key, so you'll develop and utilize scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline routine tasks and enhance system efficiency. Collaboration with IT professionals, vendors, and other departments will be essential to ensure operational continuity, while consistently adhering to company policies, regulations, and security best practices. Finally, your familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and networking principles will be applied to support integrated system functionalities. What You Bring: To succeed in this role, candidates must possess proficiency in Linux Operating Systems (e.g., RHEL), including strong command-line navigation, file system manipulation, and system administration skills. Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash is crucial for automation. Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities are required to efficiently identify and resolve both hardware and software issues. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), along with an understanding of version control systems like Git, are also important. Fundamental knowledge of network protocols and configuration, coupled with an awareness of cybersecurity best practices relevant to Linux environments, will complete your essential skill set. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production monitoring and support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions that meet organizational needs Monitor work against production schedule and provide progress updates and report any issues or technical difficulties to leadership on a regular basis. Document technical processes and procedures, and participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing sessions Collaborate on the design and implementation of with architecture to ensure solution alignment to enterprise goals and standards Perform technical analysis and provide insights to support decision-making across various departments Stay up-to-date with the latest relevant technologies and industry best practices Other duties as assigned or requested. EXPERIENCE Required 1 year of experience in one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects. 1 year of technical problem solving, solution implementation, team/project collaboration. 1 year of basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, development languages/scripting Preferred 3 years of experience with technology platforms, application development tools, business processes, software development life cycle used by our enterprise 3 years of experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs for optimizing short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities 3 years of experience working with a variety of technology systems, designing solutions or developing technology solutions in healthcare 3 years of experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective services 3 years of technical governance, quality, and technical security best practices 3 years of experience translating requirements, design mockups, prototypes or user stories into technical designs 3 years of experience producing technical solutions that are fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable SKILLS Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment Adaptability: Basic ability to take on diverse tasks and projects, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization Analytical Thinking: Basic analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy Interest and ability to learn other technologies as needed Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with a range of data tools and technologies, with a willingness to learn new skills as needed Entry-level track record in designing, implementing, and/or supporting large-scale technical solutions Basic sense of ownership, urgency, and drive Demonstrated passion for user experience and improving usability Team Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively in cross-functional environments EDUCATION Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
