Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Transition Team position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 32-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Support the Transition Team covering both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with alternating weekends
• Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio
• Utilize specialized equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
• Chart using the Meditech EMR system
• Perform or assist with SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC procedures
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required
• SVE competency and C-Section circulation experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit alongside charge and co-charge nurses
• Internal monitor placement competency and prior HCA facility experience are preferred
• Experience in a Level IV (high-volume) unit is a plus
• Candidates should be team players with a positive, adaptable attitude
• Scrub color is navy blue; t-shirts are not permitted, and only solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts are allowed
• Must adhere to unit attendance policies
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
