RN Med/Surg

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our healthcare team as a Medical Surgical Nurse in Rhode Island. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing medical and surgical treatment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, providing an opportunity to deliver comprehensive care during crucial hours. As a key member of the medical team, you will collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient health conditions, including vital signs and other indicators of wellness.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and ongoing treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island.
• BLS certification is required.
• Proven experience in a medical-surgical setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to changing patient needs.
