Good Clean Fun is an All-Day Café, Natural Wine Bar, and Cal-Italian Kitchen in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Coffee and pastries in the morning, lunch and sandwiches midday, low-intervention wine and Cal-Italian plates into the night, plus private events and catering all week long. For over four years we have been serving delicious food and drink and even better vibes, rooted in hospitality, community, and the laid-back excellence of LA food and wine culture.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. Someone who takes pride in a clean, organized kitchen and loves being part of a fast-paced, collaborative, all-day operation, from morning café service through dinner and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepping Ingredients: Efficiently prep a variety of ingredients so they are ready across every daypart. This includes chopping, marinating, and portioning for café, lunch, and dinner service.
• Cooking: Follow recipes to prepare our Cal-Italian dishes with precision and care. Maintain a clean, organized station and cook everything to spec, whether it is a midday sandwich or an evening plate.
• Dishwashing: Responsibly manage cleaning duties, including washing dishes and keeping the kitchen environment spotless.
• Shift Tasks: Handle tasks as needed during shifts, such as inventory, maintaining kitchen equipment, and food storage.
• Events Support: Help prep and execute food for private events and catering as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service seamless from open to close.
• Learning and Growth: Bring a willingness to learn about our food and our natural wine program and let that knowledge show up in your prep and presentation.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and an interest in natural wines.
• Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• A desire to grow culinary skills and take on more responsibility over time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, all-day environment and keep composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
