Structural Steel Construction Assistant/Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Steel Assistant /Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial support in construction projects and assisting in project management tasks. Responsibilities Collaborate with the project team to gather necessary information and perform take‑offs from project drawings and specifications. Research and analyze data to communicate material and subcontractor bids and pricing needed. Support project managers with project planning, scheduling, submittals, RFI, document control, change orders, etc. Assist in tracking project progress, documenting changes, and preparing project reports. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Qualifications Understanding of construction project management principles and practices. Ability to learn new software quickly. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Structural Steel Construction or project engineering. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience - very helpful). Proficiency in software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Tekla EPM) and ability to learn new software quickly. Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
