The Lead Shipping Clerk will be a vital liaison between the Distribution Manager & the warehouse team, involved in all components of the shipping department. This person is responsible for leading and coordinating the Domestic Pick/Pack/Ship area, as well as the accuracy of the inventory and transactions within the inventory system. This person will lead and follow all inventory processes and procedures with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and continuous workflow. This person will be required to participate in all physical inventory activities. This person will also be required to operate a pallet jack and forklift.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Demonstrates an extremely high level of understanding of the inventory/order processing system in Oracle, UPS WorldShip, and FedEx Ship Manager, with the ability to train less experienced members of the staffLead and apply the research of inaccuracies and suggest corrective actions to prevent reoccurrenceDemonstrates the ability to lead others and work independently and achieve a high level of work volume and accuracyDemonstrates an extremely high level of shipping and required documentation knowledgeRequired to be cross trained to the Shipping Clerk description to assist with picking of ordersResponsible for the integrity of the inventory system data for their assigned areas of responsibilityResponsibility to maintain records as required by the quality systemLead and coordinates with team members to identify and communicate product/material issues and shortages that may disrupt sales ordersLeads and coordinates the responsibility for the organization and cleanliness of their assigned inventory areasLeads and coordinates improving processes throughout the department and willingness to teach othersADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Regular and predictable work performanceAbility to work under fast-paced conditionsAbility to make decisions and use good judgmentAbility to prioritize various duties and multitask as requiredAbility to successfully work with othersAdditional duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma required3-year knowledge of AtriCure products and related technical information or 3+ years of experience in a shipping lead, shipping supervisor, or similar warehouse leadership role.Great computer/data entry skillsExceptional organizational and verbal communication skillsExtremely detail-oriented and able to multi-taskMaintains professional interactions with customers and employeesSeeks out opportunities to learn new skills and acquire informationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:FedEx and/or UPS shipping experienceProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite3 years' experience working with inventory and making transactions in OracleProficient knowledge of cGMP and ISO standardsOTHER REQUIREMENTS:Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand neededAbility to occasionally bend and push/pull as neededAbility to regularly lift up to 25 poundsAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkAtriCure has a variety of benefits available for US based employees and their families.
