• 21/hour for a Resident Assistant working as a Home Care Worker in a resident's home.
• 18 - $19/hour for a Resident Assistant working in a level of living (Assisted Living, Memory Care or Skilled Nursing).
• 23/hour for a CNA working as a Home Care Worker in a resident's home.
• 20 - $22.50/hour for a CNA working in a level of living (Assisted Living, Memory Care or Skilled Nursing).

Personal Care Services Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including skin care, ambulation, bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, exercise, feeding, positioning as directed in the service plan. Assistance with household chores, including cooking and meal preparation, cleaning and laundry. Provide medication reminders as permitted by agency policy. Assistance in completing activities such as shopping and appointments outside of the home; Observation of clients functioning and reporting changes to their supervisor. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Assist with shopping, errands and transportation assigned. Support clients in maintaining independence and daily routines. Completion of appropriate records documenting service provision. Safety and Client Support Maintain a safe environment and follow established safety procedures. Observe and report any safety hazards, changes in client condition, or concerns to the supervisor. Follow infection control practices and proper hygiene standards. Respect client rights, privacy, and confidentiality always. Documentation and Compliance Document services provided according to agency policy and procedures. Follow the individualized care plan and agency guidelines. Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations, including standards established by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), when applicable. Attend required training and in-service education sessions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in home care, caregiving, or related field preferred. Experience assisting with personal care and activities of daily living preferred. Licensure/Certification: Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Homemaker, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred, if required by state or agency policy. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred (if transportation duties are required). Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Knowledge of basic personal care and homemaking services. Understanding safety practices and infection control procedures. Knowledge of client rights and confidentiality standards. Ability to assist clients with activities of daily living safely and respectfully. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately. Ability to recognize and report changes in client condition. Ability to maintain professionalism, compassion, and respect for clients. Ability to work independently in a client home setting. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams. Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, family members and employees.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS

The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. The position also often involves sedentary work where sitting is required most of the time, with occasional standing or walking. The position also often requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to perform activities with close visual acuity, such as reading a computer screen and reading print material. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment. OSHA Exposure Category Category III – Position includes tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues; would not be required to perform Category I tasks.

INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to deal with and find resolutions to problems and maintain a productive working relationship with employees and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others.
