Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a women's hospital in Arlington, TX, requiring at least 1 year of high-risk OB L&D travel experience and active NRP, ACLS, and intermediate fetal monitoring certifications.

Details

• Located within a women's hospital setting on floors 1 and 2 of the L&D/OBED unit
• 23-bed Labor & Delivery unit also covering OB Emergency Department (OBED)
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• On-call requirement of 1 shift every 4 weeks
• Floating required within the women's service line, including Postpartum (PP) and Antepartum (Ante)
• EMR system: CPN/Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card required), and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience in high-risk OB L&D
• Candidates must provide a US SSN and date of birth (DOB) — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Active RN license must be in hand at time of consideration — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

Additional Information

• Performs all high-risk OB care including administration of magnesium drips and insulin drips, as well as circulating and scrubbing duties
• OBED experience is preferred
• High-risk and high-volume L&D experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Tuesday start dates are standard for this location
• The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a busy, high-acuity environment
