BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is looking for a Specialty Veterinary Technician Manager with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals. Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience. Sign-on bonus of up to $5,000, based on experience and applicable licensure. Eligible credentials include LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. *Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example: Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be a leader in a dynamic team of veterinary professionals. As a Specialty Veterinary Technician Manager, you will… Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their appropriate department and maintains all related skills and knowledge. Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, effectively communicated, and delivered upon. Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development. Serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge. Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution in order to create effective working relationships. Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity. Clearly communicate with team members to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes. Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate an environment of teamwork. Implement process improvement initiatives. Work with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training. Document performance-related issues, assesses team members during annual review, and provides hospital leadership with recommendations related to performance management and discipline.
