Relief Teller/Customer Service Representative Location: Mount Vernon, IL (On-Site) Status: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt As an energetic and detail-oriented professional who enjoys assisting clients and supporting multiple banking centers, this Relief Teller/Customer Service Representative (Relief Teller/CSR) role allows you to gain experience across multiple locations while delivering exceptional customer service and growing your banking career. What You’ll Do Provide support across multiple banking centers, assisting teams as needed and adapting to various environments and challenges. Deliver exceptional service by processing transactions efficiently while maintaining a positive and proactive approach. Ensure accuracy by processing cash and check transactions with integrity and precision. Drive growth by opening and maintaining accounts, assisting with loan applications, and helping clients navigate financial products such as Certificates of Deposit (CDs) and Money Market Accounts. Generate leads by identifying client needs and referring them to the appropriate banking professionals. Educate and protect clients by clearly explaining security measures, banking procedures, and product benefits. Solve problems by handling client concerns with professionalism and finding effective solutions. Minimize risk by identifying and preventing fraud while ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Collaborate as part of a respectful, supportive team that values accountability and innovation. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. Teller experience preferred (6+ months). Minimum one year of customer service experience in a business setting. Minimum one year of cash‑handling experience. Strong customer‑service skills, including active listening and clear communication. Experience recommending and referring financial products. Solid understanding of compliance and fraud detection. Ability to accurately balance a cash drawer. Proficiency with computers, data entry, and multi‑line phone systems. Basic math and accounting skills. Ability to work occasional weekends and extended hours. Ability to travel between banking centers as needed. Ability to remain in a stationary, standing position for up to 75% of an eight-hour workday. Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).
