Registered Nurse NICU

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide expert care in a Level III NICU setting. The role involves floating between NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units, supporting patients up to 21 years old on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive neonatal and pediatric nursing care according to established protocols.
• Float between NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units, adapting to varying patient needs.
• Titrate medications such as Dopamine and Dobutamine as needed, while monitoring patient responses.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, house staff, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips, making critical decisions promptly.
• Complete a 3-day orientation covering departmental specifics, nursery, and PICU practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold active BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Possess previous Level 3 NICU experience, including intubation, mechanical ventilation, and critical care procedures.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Be comfortable working with first-time travelers and flexible scheduling.
• Have proficient knowledge of neonatal and pediatric diagnoses such as prematurity, sepsis, RDS, and congenital anomalies.
