Equinox Coaching Foundations Program, Brooklyn Job Description We are looking for energetic, driven, and enthusiastic fitness professionals to join our team. If you are passionate about inspiring others and eager to pursue a career in Personal Training, the Equinox Coaching Foundations Program offers a comprehensive pathway to begin your coaching career with us. Program Overview The EQX Coaching Foundations Program spans 10 working days, consisting of: 5 hours of live virtual workshops 3 discussion boards 2 practice assessments 1 accredited ISSACPT final exam This hybrid learning model includes virtual instruction, self‑paced study, and multiple learning environments supported by our PT Educators. If you do not yet have your CPR/AED certification, you will complete this during the program as well. Curriculum Overview ISSA Coursework Includes: Intro to Personal Training Movement Biomechanics Bioenergetics Assessment Protocols & Program Design Flexibility & Cardiovascular Training Resistance Training & Exercise Technique Nutrition & Supplementation Special Populations Business & Safety Equinox Coaching Foundations Coursework Includes: The EQX Brand Service Standards Program Goal Categories Program Focuses The Program Portal Equifit Assessment Program Recommendation Complementary Services PT Business Management EQX PT Team Program Commitment Participants will complete the Foundations curriculum with a 2.5 hour commitment per day across 10 working days, working closely with EFTI Operators and PT Educators who oversee the program. Upon successfully completing the Foundations Program and passing the ISSACPT final exam you will: Earn your ISSA Certified Personal Trainer credential Complete required CPR/AED certification (if applicable) Be hired as a Provisional Coach with Equinox Upon successful completion and passing the ISSA‑CPT exam, be promoted into the full‑time Coach position at Equinox Role Expectations Complete all coursework, workshops, assessments, and study requirements within the 2‐week program time frame to be conducted onsite at an Equinox location Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of ISSA and Equinox Coaching Foundations content Apply principles of exercise science, coaching communication, program design, and client assessment Uphold Equinox brand standards and deliver exceptional member experiences Continue professional development as you transition into the Coach role Qualifications Ability to complete the 2‐week Foundations Program Commitment to pursuing a Personal Trainer/Coach career with Equinox Strong passion for fitness, coaching, and growth Ability to work in person on weekdays and weekends Strong verbal and written communication skills Time management, organization, and basic computer proficiency Energetic, friendly, punctual, and respectful Pay Transparency: $16.08 hourly depending on club location in accordance with state and local wages Additional Information As a Coach in Training of the Equinox Team you will receive: Personal Training Certification upon completion of exam at no cost Opportunity to be a practicing Personal Trainer upon completion of Personal Trainer Certification Premier facilities with functional training areas, top‑of‑the‑line strength and cardio equipment, and more Access to our company discounts with various certifying bodies and countless seminars/workshops for CEU credits Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits within the first month of employment As a member of the Equinox Team you will receive: We offer competitive salaries, benefits, and industry‑leading commission opportunities for club employees Complimentary Club membership Perks and incentives with our products and services including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and Shop This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
