Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Springfield, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 3 days a week with every other weekend.

Job Description: Seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the medical-surgical environment, particularly with post-operative orthopedic patients. This role involves direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as per established protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality patient care on a 27-bed unit.
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs using Welch Allen vital sign machines.
• Administer medications and perform procedures such as blood transfusions and IV maintenance.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care using the Meditech Expanse documentation system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have: Basic medical-surgical nursing experience, particularly with post-op ortho patients.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Tennessee.
