QC Inspector

QC Inspector Full Time - Victoria, TX, US Overview Position Summary: This position works closely with operations to ensure the quality and accuracy of incoming/outgoing production equipment. Responsibilities Sustains quality in correlation with industry standards and customer requirements. Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records. Performs internal inspection. Visual inspection on vessel layout, fit and weld inspections. Reads blueprints and ISO drawings. Uses weld inspection tools. Witness hydro testing on vessels and pipe spools. Participates in the investigation of faulty work and consults with customers and management team. Interacts with customers, suppliers, vendors and division personnel regarding quality and production issues. Attends job production pre-planning meetings. Completes quality management documents associated with product disposition, including non-conformance documentation. Audits and recommends improvements to inspection processes. Assists in design reviews on cross-functional teams to ensure that product conforms to specifications. Uses knowledge of ASME Section VIII and Section IX code and oilfield production equipment. Qualifications Preferred Experience: two (2) years industrial experience Physical Requirements Bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights. Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
