Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, supporting overall store leadership and day-to-day operations. This role helps oversee sales floor activities, supports the Store Manager in managing staff schedules, and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include coaching team members, resolving customer concerns, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and supporting accurate inventory management. The Assistant Store Manager also helps monitor retail loss prevention practices, upholds compliance with company policies, and contributes to achieving sales and performance goals. This position works closely with opticians and other store associates to create a welcoming environment where patients and customers receive personalized, knowledgeable care. Qualifications Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to delivering a positive, personalized experience for every customer. Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to coach team members and collaborate with cross-functional partners. Experience in Store Management, including supervising staff, supporting scheduling, and assisting with sales and operational execution. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and attention to detail in protecting company assets and ensuring compliance with procedures. Previous retail or optical store experience preferred; leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
