Job Description\n ESS Clinical is seeking a local contract School Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract job in Greenwood, South Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist\n Discipline: Therapy\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 36 weeks\n Employment Type: Local Contract\n \n \n ESS Clinical is seeking a compassionate, student-focused, and dedicatedSpeech-Language Pathologist (SLP)to provide speech and language services to students inGreenwood School District 50during the 2026–2027 school year.\n The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school administrators, families, and other related-service professionals to support students' academic, social, and functional communication needs.\n This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students while working as part of a collaborative school-based team.Pay starting at $58/hr up to $65/hr\n W2 and 1099 opportunitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n \n Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication services to students.\n Conduct speech and language screenings and evaluations.\n Assess students' communication skills and identify areas of need.\n Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and student needs.\n Provide individual, small-group, and/or classroom-based speech and language therapy.\n Develop appropriate goals and objectives for students receiving speech-language services.\n Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in the development and review of IEP goals.\n Provide progress monitoring and maintain accurate documentation of student performance.\n Maintain timely and accurate therapy records, evaluations, reports, and service documentation.\n Monitor student progress and modify intervention strategies as appropriate.\n Collaborate with teachers to support the generalization of communication skills across academic and school environments.\n Consult with teachers, parents/guardians, administrators, and other school personnel regarding student communication needs.\n Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student support teams.\n Provide recommendations regarding accommodations, modifications, assistive technology, and classroom strategies when appropriate.\n Educate and support teachers and families regarding strategies to promote communication development.\n Maintain compliance with IEP service requirements and applicable federal, state, district, and ESS policies.\n Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.\n Participate in professional development and continuing education activities.\n Follow ASHA's professional standards and Code of Ethics.\n Perform other duties related to speech-language services as assigned.\n Preferred Qualifications\n \n Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.\n ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.\n Current or completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience.\n Previous experience providing speech-language services in a school setting.\n Experience working with children and adolescents with communication disorders.\n Experience developing and implementing IEP goals.\n Experience conducting pediatric speech and language evaluations.\n Experience providing services to students with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, articulation/phonological disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, or other communication needs.\n Experience collaborating with special education teachers, general education teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and other related-service professionals.\n Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n Excellent organizational and time-management skills.\n Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.\n Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language intervention practices.\n Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP procedures, and school-based special education services.\n Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.\n Strong interpersonal skills and a student-centered approach.\n Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and school staff.\n Licensure & Certification\n Candidates should maintain the applicable South Carolina credentials required to provide school-based speech-language pathology services.South Carolina LLR License\n \n South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (SC LLR) Speech-Language Pathologist License, or\n South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist Intern Licensewhen applicable to the candidate's status.\n ASHA Certification\n \n ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence – Speech-Language Pathology
