Summary The student workers support our early childhood classrooms by assisting with basic skills instruction under teacher direction. They provide one-on-one and small group support, help with toileting and basic care, and engage in active physical duties, including assisting and repositioning young children (infants to age five). Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for assisting in the implementation of basic skills as directed by the classroom teacher Performing duties as directed by the teacher Duties may include 1:1 instruction and small group instruction Toileting and other basic care While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. May include positioning of students with physical disabilities. The weight and ability of students requiring assistance may vary greatly; all students are infants to 5 years old.
