Part-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. Assistant Managers are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager, followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff. Work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions. Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report needed building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager. Ensure that theatre Team Members follow the dress code. Interact with guests for improved service and ensure Team Members provide superior Customer service. Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines and enforce them fairly and consistently. Report all employee relations issues to the General Manager (or via the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol). Identify and sanitize high‑contact areas and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, or suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Complete three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required. Management members who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Provide excellent Guest service. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication with all ages, genders, and personalities. Ability to converse in English. Work in a team environment and independently. Take and follow direction. Respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Ability to resolve conflict. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre. Moderate to high noise levels at times. Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
