Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:
The CVOR Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role demands technical expertise and collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor perioperative care for cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
• Assist in preparing the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate surgical procedures.
• Observe and respond to patient vital signs and clinical changes during surgery.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including sterile techniques and infection control.
• Document all nursing interventions, patient responses, and procedural details accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state or compact state.
• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a CVOR or cardiovascular surgical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with perioperative nursing procedures and protocols.
• Be knowledgeable about cardiovascular surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, ECMO, and TAVR.
• Possess current ACLS certification.
• Have recent Epic electronic medical record experience within the last 12 months.
