Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (7P–7A)

Hickory, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, serving a generalized cardiac population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Monitor and manage patients with common cardiac diagnoses including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre- and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial approaches) and VATS
• Operate telemetry and monitoring equipment including Life Paks, Zoll, and Masimo devices
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
• May occasionally be required to float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Telemetry or Medical Surgical Telemetry setting
• Hands-on experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Associates degree in Nursing (minimum required education)
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cerner EHR experience strongly preferred — candidates with Cerner experience will be prioritized
• Experience caring for cardiac catheterization patients (groin and radial access)
• Background in a Joint Commission Accredited facility
