Water Wastewater Project Manager, Municipal

A multidiscipline civil and environmental engineering firm based in Easton, Pennsylvania seeks an experienced project manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal and public utility clients across Pennsylvania and surrounding states. The firm maintains long-standing relationships with municipal clients and operates internal departments spanning civil and site, structural, GIS, survey, and traffic engineering. This role requires a valid Pennsylvania Professional Engineer license.

Full-time, Monday through Friday, based out of the Easton, Pennsylvania office. Project site visits and client meetings required on a regular basis.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 Per Year

What You'll Do

You will lead water and wastewater projects from concept through construction for public and private clients, serving as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle. Your work will span the full range of water and wastewater infrastructure, including water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities. You will oversee the preparation of engineering designs, construction plans, technical reports, and permitting documentation, and will manage regulatory submittals and approvals with local, state, and federal agencies.

Project management is central to this role. You will manage budgets, schedules, and project teams across multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring quality and timeliness on every deliverable. You will coordinate regularly with the firm's internal departments, including civil and site, structural, GIS, survey, and traffic, to produce integrated project outcomes. Maintaining and strengthening client relationships with municipal clients and utility agencies is an ongoing responsibility.

You will also mentor junior engineering staff, contributing to their technical development and supporting the department's overall capacity and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, valid in Pennsylvania or eligible for reciprocity
• 6 or more years of progressive experience in water and wastewater engineering, including project leadership
• Demonstrated experience working with municipal clients and regulatory agencies in Pennsylvania or the surrounding region
• Strong understanding of water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems
• Experience managing permitting processes with state and local regulatory agencies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software
• Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Experience with Pennsylvania DEP permitting and regulatory processes
• Familiarity with GIS tools in an engineering project context
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or managing project teams of three or more
• LEED AP or familiarity with sustainable infrastructure design practices
