Part-Time Food Pantry Coordinator

The Town of Windham is seeking a Part-Time Food Pantry Coordinator to join its team . This is an administrative and technical position assisting the Human Resources Director in carrying out various functions in support of the Windham Food Pantry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, statistical record keeping and reporting, organizing volunteers for various activities, and dealing effectively with the public concerning all activities. Work is performed under the direct supervision of Director of Human Resources. Performance is based upon observation, review and reporting.

Qualifications.

• Associate's degree.
• Two or more years of experience in a responsible general office position.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Current valid Maine driver's license.
• Ability to move bags and boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.

Other Considerations.

Knowledge of and ability to use calculator, photocopier, and scanner.

Experience using Microsoft Office software to prepare correspondence and spreadsheets.

Basic knowledge and understanding of the operation of a local food pantry.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Moderate to heavy physical effort required; normally seated or standing with freedom of movement on a regular basis; operating office equipment, and handling books and supplies. Extensive periods may be spent standing or operating a computer and using hands and wrists in frequent repetitive motions. Interaction with others via face-to-face communication, telephone, email, and written correspondence; flexibility of motion - repetitive sitting and standing assisting staff and citizens; ability to lift 40 pounds.
