About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to spearhead the growth and development of its technical organization. The successful candidate will be a key executive, instrumental in defining and executing the engineering strategy, and will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing engineering team that embodies the company's values and mission. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in high-growth tech environments, particularly in fintech or related industries, and a deep technical expertise in modern architectures and cloud-based platforms. The VP of Engineering will be at the forefront of shaping the company's engineering culture, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable products, and fostering a strong engineering team that is committed to technical excellence and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities for the VP of Engineering include leading the recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent, setting and executing the technical vision in partnership with executive and product leadership, and driving engineering execution to meet the company's growth and quality standards. The role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, championing modern development practices, and overseeing architectural planning to ensure sound technical decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building customer-centric platforms, hands-on experience with agile development and DevOps, and the ability to align engineering strategy with business objectives. They must be adept at managing engineering budgets, headcount planning, and resource allocation, and be committed to embedding data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance into the engineering culture.
