What You’ll Do Lead Transformative Projects Serve as a senior technical lead on bridge engineering transportation projects for highway and transit applications Manage the full project lifecycle—from concept through final plans and construction support Ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards for quality, accuracy, and constructability Mentor and Inspire Review and check structural calculations, plans, and specifications to ensure engineering excellence Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, building the next generation of bridge design talent Lead or support condition inspections, load ratings, and structural evaluations of in‑service bridges Collaborate and Deliver Results Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution Build strong client relationships through technical leadership, responsiveness, and delivery excellence Support business development through proposal preparation, technical writing, and pursuit strategy What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Six to ten years of progressive experience in bridge engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington Experience with WSDOT bridge design standards Expertise in bridge design software: SAP2000, CSI Bridge, Mi Midas Civil, LARSA 4D, PGSuper, Conspan, LPile, BRASS Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Demonstrated leadership, clear communication, and client‑facing skills Physical ability and willingness to conduct field inspections Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Structural Engineering Structural Engineer (SE) license in Washington Familiarity with bridge inspection practices and load rating methodologies What We Offer We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
