Work Environment

As an onsite professional, the Physical Therapist will work within our outpatient office facility, where collaboration and communication are key components of our daily operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans focused on rehabilitation, pain relief, and restoration of function for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ physical capabilities using diagnostic assessments to identify specific needs and functional limitations.
  • Direct physical therapy assistants in delivering effective treatment and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans while overseeing their therapeutic interventions.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques such as manual therapy, traction, massage, and the application of physical agents, tailoring methods to the unique conditions of each patient.
  • Monitor patient progress, documenting changes in condition and response to treatment, to adjust care plans as necessary and communicate updates with physicians and case managers.
  • Conduct home environment assessments to recommend modifications that support patient independence and ease of rehabilitation.
  • Educate clients and families on therapeutic modalities, instructions for home exercises, and proper use of assistive devices.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and share insights based on therapy experiences.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and care plans, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our clinical practices by engaging in quality assurance and clinical review processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, work-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This role emphasizes understanding each patient's unique background, lifestyle, and rehabilitation goals, allowing you to provide tailored therapy that ensures high levels of satisfaction and successful functional outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
  • Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation settings is highly desirable, enabling effective application of skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
