General Job Responsibilities: Perform a range of surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency surgeries, and upper and lower endoscopies, among others. Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases or unexpected complications. Provide consultations to patients and other medical professionals regarding surgical options and care plans. License & Certifications: Board certification in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). Active and unrestricted medical license in California. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
