Sr. Manager of Foreclosure

Dyck O'Neal is seeking a Senior Manager of Foreclosure to own and drive our foreclosure operations, with direct responsibility for workout and loss mitigation outcomes. This role reports to the EVP of Collections and sits at the center of our default resolution strategy — managing active foreclosure cases, attorney relationships, and borrower workouts from first referral through resolution.This is a high-ownership, player-coach role in a lean operating environment. You will function as the primary owner of this line of business, with support from internal partners and external vendors, but without a large dedicated team. Success requires someone who is deeply fluent in state foreclosure timelines and processes, comfortable working complex cases hands-on, and capable of building toward a more scalable operation over time.Key ResponsibilitiesForeclosure Pipeline Ownership (Primary Focus)Own the end-to-end foreclosure process across all active cases, from referral through sale or resolutionManage and enforce state-specific foreclosure timelines, ensuring cases move without unnecessary delayCoordinate with foreclosure attorneys to drive milestone completion, cure delays, and maintain timeline complianceIdentify at-risk cases early and intervene to prevent stalls, errors, or cost overrunsMaintain deep working knowledge of judicial and non-judicial foreclosure processes across relevant statesLoss Mitigation & Workout ExecutionEvaluate borrower situations and determine the appropriate resolution path — modification, repayment plan, short sale, deed-in-lieu, or foreclosure continuationPersonally negotiate settlements, workout agreements, and other resolution strategies on complex and high-value casesManage the loss mitigation pipeline in parallel with foreclosure operations, ensuring both tracks move efficientlyDrive resolution on escalated, litigated, or legally complex filesAttorney & Vendor ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for foreclosure attorneys and third-party vendorsHold counsel accountable to timelines, cost controls, and execution qualityConduct regular performance reviews and escalate underperformanceManage servicer relationships as they relate to foreclosure referrals, data, and executionPerformance Tracking & ReportingTrack and report on foreclosure timelines, costs, cure rates, sale outcomes, and workout conversion ratesDeliver regular, actionable reporting to the EVP of CollectionsUse data to identify pipeline bottlenecks and drive continuous improvementMonitor foreclosure-to-workout ratios and adjust strategy to optimize recovery outcomesProcess Improvement & Build-OutDocument and refine foreclosure workflows, escalation procedures, and attorney management protocolsIdentify inefficiencies and implement improvements across the pipelineHelp build the operational foundation for a more scalable foreclosure and loss mitigation functionWhat Success Looks LikeForeclosure timelines are managed tightly with clear accountability at every milestoneAttorney and vendor performance is actively monitored and consistently on trackLoss mitigation is deployed strategically to reduce unnecessary foreclosure completionsRecovery outcomes improve over time through better execution and smarter resolution decisionsLeadership has clear, reliable visibility into pipeline performance and trendsA well-documented, scalable operation is built from a lean starting pointIdeal Candidate ProfileDeep foreclosure practitioner — knows the process cold and can work cases directlyOwner/operator mindset — takes full accountability for outcomes without waiting to be directedComfortable being both the strategist and the executor in the same weekThrives without heavy infrastructure; builds process where none existsDetail-oriented with strong instincts for when to push, when to negotiate, and when to escalateAble to manage attorneys and vendors with authority, even without direct organizational leverageQualifications5–8+ years of experience in foreclosure management, mortgage default servicing, or distressed debt — foreclosure execution experience is requiredHands-on familiarity with state foreclosure processes, timelines, and legal requirements (judicial and/or non-judicial)Direct experience managing foreclosure attorney relationships and holding counsel accountable to performanceStrong understanding of loss mitigation workout options and when to deploy them relative to foreclosureProven ability to independently manage high-volume pipelines and drive cases to resolutionComfortable operating in a lean, build-and-do environment without heavy infrastructure or support staffStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to negotiate directly with borrowers, attorneys, and third parties #J-18808-Ljbffr Paycom
