Founded by Tzurit Or in 2007, Tatte Bakery began in a home kitchen and at Boston farmers markets before opening its first caf in Brookline, Massachusetts. What started as a small neighborhood bakery has grown into a beloved brand with cafs throughout Greater Boston, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and now the Tri-State area. While each caf has its own unique personality, all are rooted in the same original spirit of Tatte: a welcoming place to gather, feel at home, and find inspiration, comfort, and joy.

We are looking for Baristas to help us open our Gramercy caf. Our front of house team members welcome and care for guests in our cafes. Our baristas show off their artistic coffee skills by handcrafting delicious and creative coffee beverages. We expect our front of house team members to:

• Engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence
• Have a passion for and deep knowledge of our coffee menu, our bakery and savory offerings, and genuine hospitality
• Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
• Live from Tatte's core values and help Tatte deliver on its mission
• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, & afternoons/evenings
• At least 1 year of experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced restaurant/caf

Summary of Baristas' Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide gracious and high quality service to guests throughout their caf experience
• Welcome guests, answer questions, and support menu navigation
• Prepare and serve beverages according to Tatte recipes and presentation standards
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of Tatte products and offerings
• Operate all barista station equipment according to company standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and well stocked bar area
• Create beautiful and artistic espresso beverages with consistency and care
• Support caf operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
• Other related assignments as necessary

Essential Functions / Working Conditions:

• Strong communication skills to warmly engage with guests and team members
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs
• Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
