Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Must have 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. License: Permanent Ohio license required or compact state license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Must-Have: Must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment are required to be completed during orientation with acceptable scores. References from supervisors or managers in the specialty applying for required. Description: The position is for a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse. This role involves caring for patients in a fast-paced environment. Travel nurses may need to float to different units to provide care for similar patient populations. Shifts will include both day and night rotations, with the facility making efforts to honor preferred shifts when possible. Candidates must have the required certifications active with no pending items. Travelers must have two attempts to pass required assessments, or they will be canceled from the assignment. Candidates with background checks or license hits will be reviewed and may not be accepted. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements temporarily. A negative drug screen, including nicotine, is required for all other travelers. Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this facility for one year from their previous end date.
