Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Walnut Creek, California.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The healthcare professional working as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Walnut Creek will provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a hospital setting. The position involves working during the day shift, with scheduled hours from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with some flexibility in start times. The RN will be responsible for managing patient recovery, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient safety and comfort following surgical procedures. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour days from 09:00 to 21:30 with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association; at least 2 years of recent experience in PACU; must have pediatric experience. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), previous travel nursing experience, Electronic Health Record (EHR) system experience with EPIC. Additional Information: The assignment is for a 13-week period with the possibility of extension. The RN will be expected to participate in on-call duties, including two night calls and one weekend day call every six weeks.
