Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Cath Lab Technologist Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: - ARRT - BLS (AHA) - Fluoroscopy - Fire Safety Must-Have: - BLS - ARRT - California Radiologic Technologist License - Fluoroscopy Description: Unit has 2 suites/labs. Certifications required: BLS, ARRT, California Radiologic Technologist License, Fluoroscopy. Average number of cases per day is 5. Emergency medical records system used is Cerner. Cath lab/IR Technologists team consists of 3 professionals. Weekend requirement for technologists is on-call basis (1 to 2 weekends a month). Holiday requirement includes working 1 holiday. Shifts are 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. Common cases include Right Heart Catheterization, Left Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Electrophysiology, Rotablator, and Peripheral procedures. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. Response time for call requirement is 30 minutes. Charting system utilized is Cerner. Position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Minimum guaranteed hours are 40 per week.
