CT Technologist

Position Overview

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role is essential in performing various imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.
• Conduct basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and operating room imaging services.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the processing of CT systems, surgical and sterile procedures, and studies with or without contrast media.
• Utilize knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy to perform imaging effectively.
• Provide excellent patient care, including patient transport and interaction throughout the imaging process.
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems for efficient operations and patient data management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AMA school.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Licensed by the state as a general radiographer.
• A minimum of 2 years of hospital experience with prior experience in CT is required.
• Certifications: RT(R)(CT)(ARRT), AZ CT, and RT licenses.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position features a 4/10 work schedule, typically from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Wednesday through Saturday.

Additional Information

There are blackout dates during major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s associated with this schedule.

No specific scrub color is required for this position.
