Job Description Process Engineer \n Location: Canton OH \n \n Industry: Industrial Process Equipment / Chemical Processing / Engineered Systems \n \n About the Opportunity \n \n We're partnering with an established engineering and manufacturing organization that designs and delivers highly engineered process equipment used in demanding industrial and chemical processing environments. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work on custom projects from concept through startup, collaborating with customers, fabricators, suppliers, manufacturing, and field teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chemical or Process Engineer looking to own projects from beginning to end while working on technically challenging equipment and corrosion-resistant process systems. \n \n What You'll Be Doing \n \n \n Design and develop engineered process equipment including packed towers, process vessels, and mass transfer systems. \n Perform engineering calculations related to pressure drop, heat transfer, mass transfer, equipment sizing, and process performance. \n Prepare design packages including calculations, datasheets, bills of materials, engineering documentation, and drawing markups. \n Evaluate process conditions including chemistry, temperature, pressure, abrasion, corrosion, and thermal cycling to determine appropriate material and lining selections. \n Work closely with steel fabricators, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements. \n Review fabrication drawings, vessel geometry, nozzle layouts, tolerances, and critical interfaces before production. \n Coordinate technical reviews with vendors, evaluate material substitutions, review inspection documentation, and resolve engineering issues. \n Support estimating by preparing technical scopes, material takeoffs, project assumptions, and engineering clarifications. \n Provide occasional support during installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer sites. \n Participate in continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and helping improve engineering standards and design practices. \n \n \n Required Qualifications \n \n \n Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (related engineering degrees may be considered with directly applicable experience). \n Approximately 10 years of engineering experience involving industrial process equipment or similar engineered systems. \n Strong engineering calculation and technical documentation skills. \n Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation. \n Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers. \n Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. \n \n \n Preferred Experience \n \n \n Chemical process equipment \n Pressure vessels \n Packed towers \n Corrosion-resistant materials \n Acid service applications \n Industrial process systems \n Masonry or refractory lining systems \n ASME pressure vessel interfaces \n QA/QC and inspection processes \n AutoCAD or similar CAD software \n Process simulation or engineering calculation software \n ERP systems \n Lean, Six Sigma, EIT, API 936, or other engineering certifications \n \n \n Why This Opportunity? \n \n \n Work on highly customized engineering projects from concept through commissioning. \n Broad exposure to design, manufacturing, suppliers, fabrication, and field support. \n Opportunity to become the technical owner of complex industrial process equipment. \n Clear path toward increased technical leadership and advancement into a Senior Process Engineer role. \n Collaborative engineering environment where your work directly impacts project success. \n \n \n Travel \n \n Approximately 10% travel to customer sites, fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and project locations.
