To thrive as the Senior Credit Officer, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced financial analysis training preferred
• 15+ years of commercial lending, credit analysis, loan underwriting, and portfolio management experience within the banking industry
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing credit analysts, underwriters, or portfolio managers in a regulated financial institution
• Advanced proficiency in credit risk analysis, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, Microsoft Excel, loan systems, and commercial banking software; ability to travel up to 25% for client and branch engagement

Your responsibilities as the Senior Credit Officer will include:

• Lead commercial credit underwriting, loan structuring, and portfolio risk management to ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal credit policy
• Partner with Relationship Managers to evaluate new commercial lending opportunities, perform credit analysis, and optimize loan approvals
• Oversee portfolio management functions, including covenant monitoring, borrowing base analysis, financial statement review, and internal reporting
• Direct risk rating assessments, policy exception tracking, and problem loan resolution strategies, including workout and exit planning
• Recruit, mentor, and manage credit analysts and underwriting teams, fostering a high-performance, values-driven credit culture
