Senior Contracts Administrator (Based in Anchorage, AK or Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid Office Schedule)

Job Description This position will support a diverse portfolio of commercial service offersincluding, but not limited to aviation, construction, engineering, food services, and security. The individual selected for this position will have high strategic impact across the enterprise. The individualwill contribute tocritical contractual formation, negotiation and administration, as well asassist in identifying strategies for mitigating high risk contractual or operational issues.Successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a desire to grow into the professional contract management career field.This is a mid-level position, and as such, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized and willing to embrace new challenges. This role may be based in Anchorage, AK or Phoenix, AZ and requires regular, in-office presence at a NANA office in one of these locations. Responsibilities Support Operations and contracts leadership in developingcontract strategy andassists indrivingimplementation of strategic contract opportunities having the most significant impact on the corporation, while working closely with the internal team (the Project Manager, Business Developer, Operations, Legal Department, and Senior Management, etc.) Supportscontract negotiations and provide contractual expertisein implementation, execution and administration for various type contracts, including Fixed Price/Lump Sum, Time & Material or Cost Reimbursable. Draft terms and conditions for confidentiality and teaming agreements, as well as pricing proposal conditions or assumptions. Suggest recommendations that will be favorable to the organization. Performs reviews of proposed contracts and red-line requested changes to ensure compliance, mitigates risk and increases favorable financial outcomes, and aligns with the business strategies.The review documents should also include compliance with federal and stateregulations. Prepares formal contract correspondenceand ensure it conforms to the contractual terms and conditions, as well as internal managementobjectivesof the business activities. Ensure compliance with contract policy and procedures,assistin ongoing reviews for introducing efficiencies and improvements. Interpret contract policies as well as operating practices and performance standards. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field plus 3-5 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED) with six years’ relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree Basic understanding of contractual terms and conditions such as indemnity, warranty, and performance acceptance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience or knowledge of systems used for data management (CLM, SharePoint, Word, Excel). Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years. Desired Qualifications: Training in business processes (accounting, finance, contracts law, etc.). Strong communication and organizational skills. Strong computer skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to successfully work in a geographically dispersed team. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Weather: Office-based in Anchorage, with regular travel to Kotzebue, rural Alaska villages, and other subsidiary sites. Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere. Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment. Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift. Travel: Yes, 15%. Must be able to travel and work in both urban and non-urban areas using many different means of transportation. Incumbent must be able to work in less-than-ideal offices, facilities, or situations. Competencies: Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation. Advanced knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Ability to translate complex legal issues into practical, actionable guidance for business and HR leaders. Strong litigation oversight and dispute resolution skills. Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Experience with Alaska Native Corporations and rural business operations preferred.
